Middlesex University's Fine Art department continues an important Hornsey tradition with an annual celebration of work that questions boundaries and tests new language in public for the first time.

Week 0 Fine Art exhibitionWeek 0 is both an exhibition and a festival of installations, projects, film screenings and interventions, running at Middlesex University from 3-6 February. This unique event sees staff join students in a shared adventure, taking over the Grove building with a programme of special exhibitions and performances.

In the Fine Art studios, First Year students present their work in Open studio 1 to One; our own college rooftop bees feature in the inaugural student project, The Urban Beehive; installation Post-its invites visitors to get involved, and Event Archive showcases five years of past explorations.

The 1st Year Magazine Project launches in the Grove Atrium on Tuesday 3 February, culminating in a special collaboration between Middlesex sonic and dance students in the evening. The Grove Atrium also features the exhibition Week 0, the collaborative project Black Nation and a film programme in the Screen Salon.

Other special projects include Phone Booth, a mobile communicator; sculptural writing in Dialogue, sound project A Tension Set, and various other installations and interactive features situated throughout the Grove.

Wednesday performances in the atrium include ongoing events hosted by Black Nation, with live poetry and drumming to complete the evening; singing by Glee Club Joy Division; an Art and Philosophy Lab; the first ever DOG SHOW with 'trainers' and animated 'dogs' judged by our School's Dean. Visitors can also take part in the unusual quiz, Hepworth's Hole, led by special invited artists.

Week 0 takes over the Grove from 3 until 6 February 2015.
