Celebrate British Science week at Middlesex University’s STEM Festival on Wednesday 15 March, where everyone will have the opportunity to get a robot selfie and experience a loco-motion virtual rollercoaster.
The free event between 17:00 and 20:00 is focused around Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics showcasing Middlesex’s ground-breaking research and courses with interactive activities covering areas of expertise from robotics to visualising DNA.
More than 70 experts from the University’s science and technology department will be involved in demonstrations on a variety of fascinating subjects.
Other activities on offer include the centuries old Tower of Hanoi logic puzzle which demonstrates mathematical techniques as well as a focus on microbes highlighting how just how filthy your smartphone screen actually is.
Around 600 students from schools across the capital will be visiting during the day before the festival’s doors are thrown open to the public in the evening.
