Preparing the Mental Health practitioners of the future through practice-based research

This symposium hosts speakers from a range of disciplines who focus on practices relating to mental health and well being. It was organised by the UK Council for Graduate Education and the Work and Learning Research Centre in the Department of Education.

We invite colleagues to submit posters of their work to be presented at the symposium, which provides a forum for sharing good practice across the curriculum and across sectors. Presented research will be eligible for submission as an academic paper following the event, and accepted work will appear in a special edition e-journal.

Those interested in presenting a poster should acknowledge the following:

  • A 300 word abstract must be submitted regarding the research you are doing to support mental health and well-being
  • Approved presenters must prepare a 5 minute presentation of their research and poster. (The posters will be on display throughout the day, but there will be a dedicated presentation session)
  • The call for posters is open to those undertaking research into this area of study, doctoral candidates, and those who have already completed a doctorate.

There is no event charge for those presenting posters, or for full time students. However, a university colleagues charge of £15.00 is applicable to all others to cover catering costs.

To register for the event, OR to submit your abstract and poster, please email Carol Costley:
