What to look forward to

Throughout your learning, you will benefit from our rich professional practice network, from collaborations with international schools to placement opportunities with top interior design agencies.

Reach your full creative potential in our facilities

You’ll have our state-of-the-art facilities at your fingertips to help you develop your own creative identity.

Our workshops, such as the 3D printing and reprographics facilities, are some of the best in the country and you will be given free access to industry standard software including Photoshop, InDesign, Vectorworks, SketchUp and Cinema 4D.

Hands on learning and collaboration

Almost all teaching will take place on campus, meaning you can make the most of our facilities, support your classmates and vice versa and make the most of our vibrant learning environment that supports collaboration and exploration. Depending on the module, there will be some flexibility around workshops and theory lectures which can be online.

Innovative teaching from experienced practitioners and academics

We place equal emphasis on both research and practice to inform our teaching with most of our academics are extensively experienced in professional practice and some are actively engaged in ongoing research, contributing to subject related conferences and writing books about designing interiors.

Each year we also organise a series of Practice Talks, where leaders from professional practice and alumni talk to you about their practice experience. In addition, where possible, practice visits are organised to offices/studios of leading London-based design practices.

Our Interior Design BA has won Course of the Year 2023 at the MDXSU Student Led Teaching Awards. Voted for by students!
