The majority of your teaching timetable will be on campus using our professional facilities. There will also be blended online activities where that extra flexibility works for you. We’ve planned your learning, so it has most benefit for you:
You’ll be on campus for practical work in our psychophysiology laboratory, project and interview rooms and will be working in small groups, which will provide a safe space for you to work with fellow students and tutors.
You’ll be taught online through both live lectures where you can ask questions of tutors and lecturers or through pre-recorded lectures that you can watch at your own time. You will have access to free printing on campus, free key text for study for each module, laptop loan, free cloud storage and key software usage such as Microsoft Office 365, Onedrive, Kortext, SPSS statistics package, which are all available for home, on campus and personal use.
Our specialist psychology laboratories and counselling practice rooms are among the highest-standard in the UK. They give you the opportunity to practice the skills you’ve learnt so far and between your second and third year, we encourage you to take those skills out on a year-long placement. Our degree also offers a work-based final year module in Professional Practice which allows you to develop, review, reflect on and improve employment skills within the context of your own discipline and further build on the skills required for your career in Psychology.
We have established great relationships with prestigious institutions including Great Ormond Hospital School, St Georges Hospital, Priory Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry, Institute of Education, University College London, Holloway Prison, and the Metropolitan Police.
