Our BSc Environmental Health course has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and will allow direct entry into their new chartered programme. Completion of your degree and subsequent completion of the CIEH Learning Portfolio and Professional Interview will also enable you to get a Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Registration board - making you a qualified Environmental Health Officer!
We are passionate about offering hands-on experience. Here at Middlesex, we believe in offering you the opportunity to use state-of-the-art industry-standard equipment, so that by the time you enter the workplace you are not only familiar with it, but confident in its use. Our facilities include a food inspection laboratory and a Grade 2 microbiology laboratory.
Our academics are passionate and experienced in their subject, but this course also offers guest lectures, so that your teaching experience will be diverse and interesting. Guest lectures are also a great way to find out more about the paths available to you after graduation.
You know we’re all for hands-on learning – we want your university experience to not only prepare you for the professional world, we want you to enjoy it too! In your third year, you will have the chance to design, conduct and evaluate your own original research project for your dissertation.
This degree opens up multiple paths. You can pursue further study with a postgraduate degree, or if you want to go straight into the world of work, a variety of roles are available within local authorities and government agencies, as well as the private sector and non-governmental organisations.
