You’ll learn through a combination of theory-based courses and workshops.
Our workshops will encourage you to work collaboratively with your classmates through case study analysis, class discussions, or creative projects like our Business Game, which simulates a real business pitch.
No matter if you study our general BA programme or one of our specialist areas, you’ll get access to a wide range of optional modules in a variety of subject areas.
Whether you’re interested in working in marketing, finance, business law, or even looking to start your own business, you can tailor your degree to whatever your career ambitions may be.
Your timetable will be built around teaching time using our facilities on campus with online sessions for some activities where being virtual adds value. That means it’s not going to be like 2020 over again. We've combined the best of our pre-pandemic teaching with what's worked best for students while they've been learning at home.
We’ve planned your learning so it has most benefit for you:
Our teaching and learning approach is evidence-based and designed using feedback from students and staff during the pandemic and in previous years.
For example, our students particularly liked our pre-recorded lectures where they could watch back at their own time.
We also use technology to enhance your learning and put you in control, like polls and quizzes during lectures so you can interact live.
We use a variety of platforms like Zoom or Google Meet, so you can use platforms that you're comfortable with.
One of the most significant advantages of studying Business Management with our Business School is the access you’ll get to our massive alumni and industry network.
MDXBusinessConnect is the Business School’s very own professional networking platform that provides opportunities not only for current students to interact with alumni and industry professionals, but also continues to be a resource for you post-graduation.
We have also worked hard to develop impactful partnerships with organisations across London to offer placements and resources for you to access during your degree. Partners like Novus UK help us to offer you outstanding seminars, mentorship opportunities, and even guaranteed placements.
Our academic staff are also active participants in research, focused on developing ideas and projects around innovative and important topics in the industry.
In your course, you’ll find that that research comes to life in several of our optional modules. This includes topics like Equality and Diversity, Sustainability, or Global Supply Chain Management.
As a part of our Business School, you’ll also get access to the Enterprise Development Hub run by Dr Simon Best, who helps over 500 students a year launch and manage their own businesses. This entrepreneurial energy at the University has led in part to 1 in 7 students starting their own business after graduation.
From our practical teaching methods and variety of optional modules to our impactful partnerships and alumni network, we know that studying business and management at Middlesex University will set you up for a successful career.
No matter your area of interest or career goals, we are here to help you along your journey and ensure you are equipped to practice in an ever-changing world.
