You’ll learn through a combination of theory-based courses and workshops.
Our workshops will encourage you to work collaboratively with your classmates through case study analysis, class discussions, or creative projects like portfolios or product pitches.
We also encourage you to undertake a placement and offer a flexible programme so you can choose to take one as a year-long assignment between Years 2 and 3, or two shorter placements during summertime of Year 1.
Your timetable will be built around teaching time using our facilities on campus with online sessions for some activities where being virtual adds value. That means it’s not going to be like 2020 over again. We've combined the best of our pre-pandemic teaching with what's worked best for students while they've been learning at home.
We’ve planned your learning so it has most benefit for you:
Our teaching and learning approach is evidence-based and designed using feedback from students and staff during the pandemic and in previous years.
For example, our students particularly liked planning and assessment vlogs, which gave tips and tricks on submitting assignments throughout the year.
We also use technology to enhance your learning and put you in control, like polls and quizzes during lectures so you can interact live.
We've also looked at innovative software, like managerial simulators, so you can get you learn practical skills in a simulated marketing environment!
We partner with many professional bodies so you get access to the most industry-leading resources possible. Our partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), brings you networking sessions, knowledge-sharing workshops, and qualifies you for their professional accreditation upon graduation.
Our course is also recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and you’ll be able to apply for a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing after graduation if you receive a 2:2 (or higher).
You’ll be taught by both our academic staff and industry professionals, who frequently join us for guest lectures and projects. You’ll even get the chance to work on real-life case studies and pitch them to external clients!
