Solomon is an environment specialist interested in sustainable ecosystems and how sustainable environmental practices play a crucial role in achieving this goal. After completing his masters Solomon took on a PhD where he mentored and co-supervised six postgraduate and two undergraduate students involved in a research project.
During his time at Middlesex, Nirusha took on the role of teaching assistant and student representative as well as Postgraduate course ambassador. Since graduating, Nirusha has worked as an Associate practitioner at St. John's Dermatology at St. Thomas' Hospital, London. Then, more recently as a lecturer in biomedical science at the University of East London.

Since his doctorate, Anthony has been a chartered environmental consultant for the UK Government at the Local Authority level and other multinational organisations such as Ove Arup & Partners and emerging brands like Advanced Bacteria Sciences.

“I came to UK to do my BSc in 2012 at MDX, in my 3rd Year I got a price (MDX) for my dissertation work. I got employed as GAA after graduation and started my MPhil/PhD (skipping master degree). I finished within 3 years despite being a part-time PhD with a demanding GAA job (also got promoted to senior GAA + lab responsibilities).
I managed to get several publications and attended several conferences (national and international) during that time. After PhD I joined research group at MDX as a postdoc, working on detection of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater in schools during pandemic (also did some minor HPL work for MDX). I am currently employed as Technical Tutor in Bioscience at MDX and working towards my PGcert in HE.”
