Classes and Activities

We have a variety of leisure classes on offer, delivered by qualified instructors and they are a great way to keep fit and have fun. Classes are open to members and non-members. All lesiure classes advertised are included in our Full Fitness memberships.

Booking a Class

You can book a leisure class in one of three simple ways. By using the Fitness Pod app on your smart phone, or by booking in via our electronic kiosk located outside the gym, or by visiting the Fitness Pod reception.

  • Download the app today from iTunes or Googleplay- and book your classes whilst on the move
  • Book classes and manage your membership in our new members portal

Free activities for all

  • Table Tennis and Basketball: Free bat and ball hire available from The Fitness Pod. TT balls available for purchase.
  • Swimming at Barnet Copthall Pool is free with Middlesex University ID, during public swimming sessions.

Give it a Go

Give it a Go offers coached sessions specifically aimed at beginners to learn a new sport. Price is £20 for a block of coached sessions. Sessions which take place at an external venue offer a free minibus service from campus to the venue and back. This MDX Girl Can- Ladies only activities

Move It is a programme of activity, specifically aimed at our female students.  We have a variety of activities for all levels of ability.  Please see our This MDX Girl Can activities here or email Danielle Norville for more information.

Please check our pages on Unihub or visit the sports office in MDX House for a current timetable of activities.

Social Activity Programme

A programme of Free sports activities on campus every week

We run a variety of FREE, just turn up and play, social sports sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays on campus. Activities take place on the 3G pitches and MAC courts on campus (located behind MDX House and the Vine building).

All activities are completely free, and all equipment is provided- simply turn up and play. Activities on Wednesdays will change weekly. Pick up a timetable from the sports office.

Children's sports activities

There are sports activities for children available over the Summer, as well as sports birthday parties. See our Children's sports activities page for more information and to book.
