The Rickett's Quadrangle at Middlesex's flagship Hendon campus doubled as a catwalk on Friday night as final year BA Fashion students demonstrated the wealth of talent at Middlesex University.
The fashion event was designed for students to show their work but also for a panel of independent judges to decide which of them would be selected to show at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane as part of the Free Range Exhibition from 3-7 June.
Speaking on the night, Fashion Lecturer Meg Osborne paid tribute to the dedication and passion of the students.
Another notable event in the University’s fashion calendar this year is Graduate Fashion Week, which is credited with launching the careers of renowned British designers such as Stella McCartney, Julian MacDonald and Antonio Baradi among others. Middlesex will be among 50 universities exhibiting at Earls Court 2 from 6-10 June.
Middlesex fashion has already drawn industry and press attention this year, with second year student Rasa Abramaviciute picking up the Fashion Awareness Direct award at an event at London Fashion Week, which netted her a placement with Vivienne Westwood.
