The Taipei Representative to the UK and the Director of the Cultural Division of her office made a short visit to Middlesex's Hendon campus on Friday 18 February, meeting with the University's Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Driscoll and taking a short tour of the facilities.
Katharine Siao-Yue Chang and Karl Lee were joined by MP for Finchley and Golders Green Mike Freer.
Among the subjects discussed were the opportunities open to Taiwanese students at Middlesex, collaboration between researchers at Middlesex and universities in Taiwan and scholarship opportunities for UK students to go to Taiwan to study Mandarin.
Professor Driscoll said: "As a provider of UK education internationally, it was a pleasure to welcome the Taiwanese representatives to our Hendon campus. We're proud of the links and presence Middlesex University has across the globe, not only with our campuses in Dubai and Mauritius but also through our 21 international offices, the largest global network of any UK university."
