The Arts Depot in North Finchley was again the platform for Middlesex University dance students to perform their final year pieces.
Year three dance students performed both classical and contemporary dance at the event, the sixth successive year Middlesex has collaborated with the Arts Depot to put on the show.
The dance programme included Passacaglia, a piece created in 1938 by American choreographer Doris Humphrey, and new work from both Middlesex students and staff.
“The student work we chose was of exceptional quality and we thought it would work well in the Arts Depot,” said Anne Went, Director of Dance Programmes.
This year’s event included a matinee, which was attended by local schools and colleges, including theatre group ChickenShed. Performing at the matinee was Britain’s Got Talent star and former Middlesex student Leroy Dias Dos Santos.
“The students enjoyed it very much. First year Middlesex students were in the audience as well and they found it interesting because it was first hand experience for them to see what they will be doing in their final year,” said Anne.
“It was extremely well received - a good and varied programme which the audience appreciated.”
