Former Minister of State for the Armed Forces Sir Nick Harvey MP will be coming to Hendon for a debate on whether Britain needs to rethink its defence strategy.
Sir Nick is the MP for North Devon and former Liberal Democrat spokesperson for defence. He is an alumnus of Middlesex University, where he picked up a degree in business studies as well as spending a year as president of the Students’ Union.
For the second in a series of law debates at Middlesex University, Sir Nick will be joined by Middlesex University global security politics expert Dr Peter Hough and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament general secretary Kate Hudson.
The panel will discuss ‘the politics of defence’ before inviting contributions from the audience.
The debate, from 4-6pm on Wednesday 12 December, is free and open to the public and takes place in The Board Room in Middlesex University’s College Building, The Burroughs, Hendon, NW4 4BT.
