Next generation of designers showcase their work

Up and coming designers will show off their work at the Old Truman Brewery on London’s famous Brick Lane from 8-10 June 2013.

Up and coming designers from Middlesex University will show off their work at the Old Truman Brewery on London's famous Brick Lane from 8-10 June 2013.

More than 500 final-year artists and designers in disciplines including photography, fashion, animation, product design, interior architecture, fine art and illustration will display their final year projects at the trendy east London venue.  

The four-day event titled "Laboratory" will see over 5000 visitors come through the door to discover the latest talent in art and design.

This year's show boasts a range of exhibits, from the next generation of fashion photographers all the way to animators.  Designers of innovative new products will show off creations including an external flash for smart phones made by Chris Whellams, an intelligent, interactive security system shaped as an eye by Curtis John and a vibrating sports massager created by champion athlete and product design student Tremayne Gilling.  

Daniel Duncan will be exhibiting his football inspired illustrations that have been shortlisted and highly commended for the Macmillan Children's Book Illustration Award from the publishers Pan Macmillan.  Graphic designer Saulo Amaral will also be displaying his poster designs which have been shortlisted for the City Type Exhibition in Berlin.

Entry to the event is free. The Old Truman Brewery is at 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL.

Opening hours of the public show are:
*         Saturday 8 June 10am-5.30pm
*         Sunday 9 June 10am-7pm
*         Monday 10 June 10am-7pm
