A recurring challenge for central and regional government in the UK is the need to promote economic growth and regeneration in disadvantaged areas. At CEEDR we have worked with all levels of government to help find long-term solutions.
Much of our research has focused on the economies of deprived localities, with a particular interest in the implications of devolution and regional governance. Recent work has contributed to the UK government's review of sub-national economic development and regeneration, and to the economic development aspects of local area agreements.
