      Level of study

      Entry requirements

      Undergraduate - Year 1

      We accept a UEC qualification directly into our undergraduate year 1 programme, provided the student has achieved a minimum score of B or above in 5 main subjects (excluding a language subject).

      We also recognise a range of foundation course awarded by other bodies, eg, the Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) and the South Australian Matriculation (SAM).

      Students who have obtained two STPM (the Malaysian equivalent of A Level) passes, A Levels or the Independent Chinese Schools' Unified Exam Certificate (UEC) will also be considered for entry into undergraduate degree courses.

      Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications will also be considered at Advanced Standing level.

      Postgraduate

      Students applying to postgraduate courses are expected to have a second class honours degree with a GPA of 2.5 and above.

      Most courses do not require work experience with the exception of the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) where applicants must have at least two years' work experience at professional/management level.

      In addition, the University will consider graduates with at least a second class honours degree from one of the 3+0 courses, and GPA of 2.5 and above.

      You must also meet our standard English language requirements.

      You can also apply for the British Government's Chevening ScholarshipsThe Commonwealth Scholarship and a variety of private agencies and charities for scholarships, bursaries and grants to study in the UK. For more information visit the British Council website or the UK Council for International Student Affairs website.

    • Visa information

      The following requirements must be met in order for your visa application to be successful:

      UKVI Requirements

      • Submit an online application through the UKVI website. You will need to submit your valid CAS, payment of the visa fee and immigration health surcharge
      • Upload the relevant supporting documents (passport, academic documents, evidence of meeting or being exempt from English language requirements, evidence of meeting financial requirements, ATAS certificate if required, TB test certificate if required)
      • Biometric data collected at the visa application centre
      • You must be able to provide evidence that you can meet the finance requirements if asked to do so, but you do not need to provide this evidence at the time of application.

      Successful applicants will receive an Entry Clearance vignette in their passport and will be able to collect their Biometric Residence permit in the UK.
