To make the most of your time at Middlesex, you will need an excellent command of the English language. If you are not a national of a majority English speaking country and haven't completed a degree in English, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability to study with us.
You can find the standard entry requirements for each course on the course information page. We welcome international students with a wide range of equivalent qualifications from around the world.
If you have previously studied in another country, you may check the relevant country support page to see the commonly accepted qualifications from that country.
Each course will have specific grade requirements. Some will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject, work experience, submission of a portfolio or an interview/audition. Full details can be found within the specific course information page.
If you don't meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate degrees you may be able to apply for our one-year International Foundation Programme (IFP) or our foundation year courses to help you gain entry to one of our undergraduate degrees.
If you have achieved a Foundation Degree, CertHE, DipHE, HNC, HND or a number of modules of an undergraduate degree course at another university, you may be able to enter directly into the second or third year of one of our undergraduate degree courses as a transfer student.
We are pleased to offer a range of international scholarships and merit awards to international students.
Visit our scholarships page for a list of all Middlesex scholarships you may be eligible for.
You can also apply for the British Government's Chevening Scholarships, and a variety of private agencies and charities for scholarships, bursaries and grants to study in the UK. For more information visit the British Council website or the UK Council for International Student Affairs website.
Undergraduate students from the EU may be eligible to apply to Student Finance England (SFE) for a student loan to cover the cost of their fees, and may also be eligible for a loan to cover living costs.
At Middlesex, we want to recognize your heritage. Students from North and South America who have dual citizenship from an EU country are eligible for the EU Heritage Scholarship. This award allows students to pay EU fees rather than international fees for the full duration of the programme.
