      Level of study

      Entry requirements

      Undergraduate - Year 1

      You can find the standard entry requirements for each course on the course information page. We welcome international students with a wide range of equivalent qualifications from around the world.

      We also recognise international foundation courses from a number of institutions within the UK, including INTOBell and many more.

      If you have previously studied in another country, you may check the relevant country support page to see the commonly accepted qualifications from that country.

      If you don't meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate degrees you may be able to apply for our one-year International Foundation Programme (IFP) or our foundation year courses to help you gain entry to one of our undergraduate degrees.

      Undergraduate - Year 2 and 3

      If you have achieved a Foundation Degree, CertHE,DipHE, HNC, HND or a number of modules of an undergraduate degree course at another university, you may be able to enter directly into the second or third year of one of our undergraduate degree courses as a transfer student.

      We have agreements that recognise qualifications from a range of awarding bodies including AptechABEEdexcel and many more.

      Postgraduate

      You can find the standard entry requirements for each course on the course information page. We welcome international students with a wide range of equivalent qualifications from around the world.

      If you have previously studied in another country, you may check the relevant country support page to see the commonly accepted qualifications from that country.

      To make the most of your time at Middlesex, you will need an excellent command of the English language. If you are not a national of a majority English-speaking country and haven't completed a degree in English, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability to study with us.

      Middlesex scholarships and awards

      We are pleased to offer a range of international scholarships and merit awards to international students.

      Visit our scholarships page for a list of all Middlesex scholarships you may be eligible for.

      Other scholarships

      You can also apply for the British Government's Chevening Scholarships, and a variety of private agencies and charities for scholarships, bursaries and grants to study in the UK. For more information visit the British Council website or the UK Council for International Student Affairs website.

      Student loans for EU students

      Undergraduate students from the EU may be eligible to apply to Student Finance England (SFE) for a student loan to cover the cost of their fees, and may also be eligible for a loan to cover living costs.

      International Students European Heritage Scholarship

      At Middlesex, we want to recognize your heritage. Students from North and South America who have dual citizenship from an EU country are eligible for the EU Heritage Scholarship. This award allows students to pay EU fees rather than international fees for the full duration of the programme.

    • Visa information

      The following requirements must be met in order for your visa application to be successful:

      Middlesex Requirements

      • Non-EU /EEA international applicants who intend to make a student route visa in the UK need to pass a visa preparation interview with ISAT. You may find it useful to attend a visa preparation webinar.

      UKVI Requirements

      • Applicants must have valid permission to be in the UK at the time of application.
      • Holders of visitor visas, short-term student visas, parent of a child student visas, a seasonal worker visas, a domestic worker in a private household visas, and anyone with leave outside the immigration rules are not eligible to switch to the student route within the UK.
      • Applicants already on a Tier4 visa or Student route visa must have successfully completed the programme for which their current visa was granted.
      • Applicants must provide all the standard documentation unless they have been in the UK on a visa for 12 months or longer in which case they are treated as automatically meeting the finance requirements and do not need to provide financial evidence.
