Who are you? David.

What is your job title? Senior lecturer in film.

One of the most exciting things about working at middlesex is the students they're always coming up with really Innovative challenging ideas I mean it's almost an honor to guide them through the process of realising their vision. The students are able to access a wide range of equipment really high-end camera stuff and also great post- production facilities; a number of editing Suites professional sound color grading Suites, so the students have all of the equipment and the facilities to make you know the best work that they possibly can.

Students on on in the course of the program learn a lot of soft skills they begin pitching projects to their classmates and to their tutors as early as the first term in term one so by the time they get to third year and they're pitching bigger projects they're expert at and selling their ideas 've got an industry and collaboration strand where we have guest speakers this year we had David Yates you know famous for his four Harry Potter films.

They get a lot of opportunities I think to to get a taste of of what the business looks like and what it feels like when you're in it. Every year and we're in that process right now we get the students in to show the rough cuts of their films, with great nervousness they screen them to all of their peers and to all of their tutors and then they submit themselves to feedback and I think the students really like exercising their analytical skills uh you know in critiquing each other's work they're really all in it together they're all trying to help each other make the best work and that's a really great feeling.
