MDX Studios is a working studio environment on Middlesex University's campus, in a production hub supported by crew, wraparound services, and custom research and development.
We are part of Screen London Barnet, a new alliance between industry, education and local government, to accelerate north London’s growth as a destination for content development and creative industries production.

Students studying our Arts and Creative Industries courses will have access to exclusive opportunities through MDX Studios, including work on real productions to gain the skills, confidence and connections to succeed in the screen industries.
By embedding a live production environment within a university campus, and linking it to a pan-regional network of studios, educators, and employers, we're making screen careers truly accessible - and building a future-facing workforce ready to lead.

Screen London Barnet
The development of MDX Studios is part of Screen London Barnet, a new alliance to boost film production and jobs across the Borough, launched at Brent Cross.
Middlesex University, Barnet Council, Barnet and Southgate College and Troubadour Brent Cross Studios are the founding partners in the new alliance. It is designed to support students from all backgrounds to access screen careers while ensuring that local people in Barnet benefit from the opportunities in the creative industries.
The partnership is underpinned by Barnet Council’s Screen Skills Plan which will establish the Borough as a leading hub in the UK’s growing screen industries including film, television, animation, gaming, immersive technologies, and digital media.
