Adds a news article with its own masthead, WYSIWYG content area and additional options.
How to use
- Select a suitable image from the Media Library for the Image
Recommend image is at least 1500px x 1280px. The image can be any size or aspect ratio, and will be cropped and resized to the various different images used for events automatically by a service called PXL. Find out how PXL crop and resize works. - Select category(s) for the News Category, this is used as a filter in News Search
- Add a Topic, this is used as a filter in News Search e.g., Computing
- Add the Publish Date
- Optionally populate the Publisher element to show who the article is written by:
- Add a Publisher Name
- Select a suitable image from the Media Library for the Publisher Image.
Recommend image is at least 240px x 240px. The image can be any size or aspect ratio, and will be cropped and resized to 240px x 240px automatically by a service called PXL. Find out how PXL crop and resize works. - Optionally add a link to the Publisher Name, select a section or content item for the Publisher Internal Link (ignore the Use default link text checkbox), or paste the full URL for the Publisher External Link (please do not enter both)
- Use the Show Share Options element to toggle whether options to share the page on social media channels are shown, this option is checked by default
- Add Main Text, containing the content for the News Article. See General Text examples for content options.
Additional Content
After adding your News Article content item additional content can be added using any content type listed in the Creating Content section of the Content Types page. Ensure the News Article is the first content item in the section.
