Through practice-led learning, it empowers students to master the classification and grading of acute injuries, equipping them with the skills to construct precise clinical impressions of injured structures and their mechanisms of injury.
This module inspires students to gain expertise in advanced soft tissue techniques and therapeutic modalities through practice-led learning. It challenges students to demonstrate a wide range of techniques while critically justifying their application using key theoretical concepts.
This module empowers students to systematically assess clients, critically analyse findings, and design evidence-based rehabilitation and performance programmes. It inspires a deep understanding of the science underpinning physical rehabilitation and exercise programming, enabling students to articulate and justify their approaches with precision and confidence.
This module aims to equip students with the relevant knowledge and skills to undertake appropriate individual and group-based research (where applicable) in their subject areas. Students will learn searching strategies to identify relevant literature, how to critically appraise literature and relevant research methods topics such as research design, selecting and using suitable quantitative or qualitative approaches appropriate to the subject area.
This module aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop their skills as a practitioner, specific to their discipline of study, helping to prepare them for the working environment. It aims to provide students with the opportunity to showcase a journey of practitioner development, through critical reflection, whilst concurrently enabling a broader set of skills to be progressed, such as: communication, problem-solving, time management, and collaboration.
The aim of this module is to guide students through an independent project where they are tasked with selecting and formulating a specific question or challenge that contributes to the generation of original knowledge to their field of study. Students will be required to design and develop a clear hypothesis, justifying their approach through ethical and rigorous methods to collect, analyse, and evaluate relevant data or information. The module also aims to encourage students to critically judge and appraise existing knowledge, identify gaps, and compare and contrast different perspectives to generate new insights.

Teaching
You'll be taught by an experienced teaching team with a wide range of expertise and professional experience.
This programme integrates both digital and traditional learning methods to cater for diverse student needs. You will engage in a mix of synchronous and asynchronous learning through research-informed teaching, pre-recorded online content (in the form of key concept videos), seminars, workshops, and practice led-learning. You'll be based at our Hendon campus, north London.
You will gain hands-on clinical experience in state-of-the-art facilities, utilising a wide range of therapeutic modalities. They will also have access to industry relevant software, including tools for statistical analysis and office applications, to support their academic and professional development.
An academic supervisor from the University will be assigned to you to guide you through the shared modules for this programme.
Course content can also be accessed via the University MyMDX learning platform, where all learning materials are available. In addition, University wide services can be availed on the same platform.
Your knowledge, understanding and skills is assessed via a range of assessment methods, such as: presentations, practical assessments, and coursework.

You will need an undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) or UK equivalent in sport, exercise science, or a related therapy field. If your degree is in a different area, you may still be considered if you have relevant industry experience and professional qualifications. This could include roles such as a sports rehabilitator or therapist within a professional sports organisation, governing body, or private practice.
Additional requirements
You will be required to complete UK recognised 1st Aid course by the end of the 1st Semester if accepted on the programme.
