This course develops your ability to lead ethically and work effectively across cultures. You will learn how to manage cultural diversity, navigate ethical challenges, and build inclusive, cohesive teams in international and multicultural environments.

About your course
The course covers the following themes:
- identifying the challenges of managing diversity of thought within organisations and working across diverse organisational and national cultures
- critically analysing ethical and cross-cultural perspectives, drawing on relevant frameworks and the united nations’ sustainable development goals (sdgs), to develop actionable recommendations for senior leaders
- conducting professional-quality ethical and cross-cultural analysis and evaluation at different organisational levels, applying appropriate approaches to real business contexts
- evaluating ethical responsibilities, corporate social responsibility, governance frameworks, and professional standards, emphasising integrity, accountability, and responsible leadership practice
Across these four areas, you will complete the course with a range of skills:
- advanced cross-cultural and ethical problem-solving skills, applying theory and real-world examples to address complex organisational and leadership challenges
- the ability to assess and manage cultural differences in decision-making, negotiation, leadership, and international strategy, using a culturally intelligent approach
- experience in applying ethical theories, csr principles, and governance models to organisational issues, including managing individual and organisational values responsibly
- proficiency in communicating ethical and cross-cultural analyses clearly and effectively to a range of audiences, including executives, stakeholders, and peers
Schedule details
The credit-bearing module will take place between 2 March - 2 April 2026.
The non-credit bearing module will take place between 2 March - 20 March 2026.
Learning and teaching
To develop your ability to engage with the wide range of issues explored in this module, you will apply knowledge gained from other modules through case studies and real-world examples. You will examine ethical business challenges, hear directly from CEOs and other C-suite leaders on leadership in a globalised context, analyse current news media, and engage with video-based case analysis.
Non-credit bearing (NCB): You will attend two and a half days (15 hours) on campus each week for three weeks.
Credit bearing (CB): You will attend two and a half days (15 hours) on campus each week for three weeks, followed by two additional weeks for assessment.
Assessment (credit bearing only)
You will need to submit an analysis based on a choice between two vignettes to analyse, incorporating the UN SDGs, with an approximate word count of 2500 words or equivalent.
Fees and funding
The credit bearing course costs £3,750, for UK and international students.
The non-credit bearing course costs £3,250, for UK and international students.
Entry requirements
Please note these entry requirements are valid only for students taking the credit-bearing route. The non-credit bearing path has no entry requirements.
UK entry requirements
A 2.2 honours degree or above, and two or more years of relevant business experience or graduate-level professional qualifications. If you do not possess either an honours degree or professional qualifications, you are welcome to apply, but we normally require a GMAT score of at least 550 points.
International entry requirements
We accept a wide range of international qualifications, equivalent to a UK 2.2 honours degree. You can find out more on your country's support page. If you need help with your application, please contact your nearest regional office.
You'll need good English language skills to study with us. That's usually an IELTS 6.0 qualification (with a grade of 6.0 for Reading and Writing components/Listening and Speaking components at 5.5). And, if you need help, we offer an intensive pre-sessional English course.
To study with us in the UK, you will need a student route visa.
Exceptions to entry requirements
Candidates not meeting any of these requirements may, in exceptional cases, be considered for admission where there is strong supporting education or experience. All such cases will be at the discretion of the Executive MBA Programme Leader.
