This course develops your ability to manage and optimise global operations across international contexts. You will gain a clear understanding of global operations strategy, supply chain and logistics management, and international processes, and learn how to analyse operational performance, improve efficiency, and apply practical solutions to drive sustainable organisational success worldwide.

About your course

About your course

The course will cover the following topics:

  • evaluation of key concepts, theories, and practices in global operations management, including supply chain design, logistics, quality control, and sustainability
  • analysis of global trends and challenges affecting operations management, including technological advancements, regulatory changes, and cultural considerations in international contexts.

Across these areas, you will develop a range of skills throughout the course:

  • analyse and evaluate the operational strategies of global businesses, applying theoretical models to strengthen decision-making and problem-solving in a global context
  • develop and implement operational plans aligned with global supply chain management principles, demonstrating the ability to manage and mitigate risks in diverse and dynamic environments.

Schedule details

The credit-bearing module will take place between 4 May - 5 June 2026.

The non-credit bearing module will take place between 4 May - 22 May 2026.

Learning and teaching

Each topic will be delivered through a blend of lectures and workshops. Lecturers will focus on delivering knowledge about the subject. Frequent quizzes will test your understanding as a student. Relevant case studies will be used to apply the knowledge delivered during lectures. This approach is designed to allow you to develop your analytical skills. Where necessary, you will have the opportunity to engage with practitioners and industry experts. 

Non-credit bearing (NCB): two and half days (15 hrs) on campus every week for three weeks.

Credit bearing (CB): two and half days (15 hrs) on campus every week for three weeks and two further weeks for assessments.

Assessment (credit bearing only)

You will need to submit a report in the form of an individual case study evaluation, with an approximate word count of 2500 words or equivalent.

The non-credit bearing course costs £3,250, for UK and international students.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Please note these entry requirements are valid only for students taking the credit-bearing route. The non-credit bearing path has no entry requirements.

UK entry requirements

A 2.2 honours degree or above, and two or more years of relevant business experience or graduate-level professional qualifications. If you do not possess either an honours degree or professional qualifications, you are welcome to apply, but we normally require a GMAT score of at least 550 points.

International entry requirements

We accept a wide range of international qualifications, equivalent to a UK 2.2 honours degree. You can find out more on your country's support page. If you need help with your application, please contact your nearest regional office.

You'll need good English language skills to study with us. That's usually an IELTS 6.0 qualification (with a grade of 6.0 for Reading and Writing components/Listening and Speaking components at 5.5). And, if you need help, we offer an intensive pre-sessional English course.

To study with us in the UK, you will need a student route visa.

Exceptions to entry requirements

Candidates not meeting any of these requirements may, in exceptional cases, be considered for admission where there is strong supporting education or experience. All such cases will be at the discretion of the Executive MBA Programme Leader.
