About your course
The course will cover the following topics:
- critical evaluation of diverse leadership theories, including their development, evolution, and relevance within contemporary organisational contexts
- examination of strategic leadership principles to address people management challenges, organisational culture, and the leadership of sustainable change.
Across these areas, you will develop a range of skills throughout the course:
- the ability to analyse and apply leadership theories and models to real-world scenarios, adapting leadership approaches to meet organisational needs and challenges
- the capability to develop effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build relationships, foster team cohesion, and manage conflict within diverse teams.

The credit-bearing module will take place between 27 July - 28 August 2026.
The non-credit bearing module will take place between 27 July - 10 August 2026.
Learning and teaching
This module offers a combination of formal lectures and interactive activities that include group work, debates, discussions, and case study analyses. The aim is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of leadership.
Non-credit bearing (NCB): two and half days (15 hrs) on campus every week for three weeks
Credit bearing (CB): two and half days (15 hrs) on campus every week for three weeks and two further weeks for assessments.
Assessment (credit bearing only)
You will need to submit a report on strategic leadership evaluation and organisational analysis, with an approximate word count of 2500 words or equivalent.
Fees and funding
The credit bearing course costs £3,750, for UK and international students.
The non-credit bearing course costs £3,250, for UK and international students.
Entry requirements
Please note these entry requirements are valid only for students taking the credit-bearing route. The non-credit bearing path has no entry requirements.
UK entry requirements
A 2.2 honours degree or above, and two or more years of relevant business experience or graduate-level professional qualifications. If you do not possess either an honours degree or professional qualifications, you are welcome to apply, but we normally require a GMAT score of at least 550 points.
International entry requirements
We accept a wide range of international qualifications, equivalent to a UK 2.2 honours degree. You can find out more on your country's support page. If you need help with your application, please contact your nearest regional office.
You'll need good English language skills to study with us. That's usually an IELTS 6.0 qualification (with a grade of 6.0 for Reading and Writing components/Listening and Speaking components at 5.5). And, if you need help, we offer an intensive pre-sessional English course.
To study with us in the UK, you will need a student route visa.
Exceptions to entry requirements
Candidates not meeting any of these requirements may, in exceptional cases, be considered for admission where there is strong supporting education or experience. All such cases will be at the discretion of the Executive MBA Programme Leader.
