My name is Satkeen Azizadeh and I'm a Senior Lecturer in Human Resources.

What makes Middlesex a great place to learn? Our courses are very much based on practice-based learning and authentic assessments.

There are sets of graduate capabilities and competencies that we have listed.

And these are at the core and at the foundation of all our programmes and our curriculum.

So the help you get at Middlesex University is amazing.

HARPREET The teachers, they are very polite with you and the academics help you get good grades. They keep pushing you even though you ask them multiple questions.

They are always ready to help you.

So I really like how the lecturers are really, really open.

I've been to every lecturer's office hours just going, "Can you please look at my work? Can you just, how is this going? Can I just..." and constantly getting the feedback that actually helped me get my grades up quite a bit.

Most exciting thing about working at Middlesex? We have more than 100 nationalities in our classrooms, and this is something that we take a lot of pride in and we truly embrace this.

This diverse group of students, they bring diverse perspectives into our classrooms, so they enrich the discussions in the classroom.

As an international student, I have been focused on using all the facilities that are available and it's just been life-changing for me to be here.

What makes Middlesex unique? We were ranked number one in the Research Excellence Framework of 2021, in terms of impact.

Staff at Middlesex University are very research-focused, and this research actually informs their teaching and the design of their curriculum assessment.

And we see this in their everyday teaching in the classroom.

REVA I did do an internship. So there I learned a lot of practical skills and the university helped me through that with MDXworks.

The university itself has given me a lot of confidence and a lot of skills. I feel very confident in going into the professional world.

How do you help students prepare for the future? We have our practice-based learning and assessments, authentic assessments that link everything that we teach in the classroom to what's happening in the industry, to make sure that we actually close that gap and bridge that academic knowledge with what is needed and demanded in the industry.

*Changes to tuition fees from the 2026-2027 academic year for UK undergraduate students

For the 2026/27 academic year, the maximum annual tuition fee applicable to UK undergraduate students for approved providers will increase to:

  • £9,790 for standard full-time courses
  • £11,750 for full-time accelerated courses
  • £7,335 for part-time courses

For courses with an integrated foundation year, the first-year fee is £9,790 for courses in science, engineering and creative and performing arts, and £5,760 for classroom-based courses.

Maintenance loans will also rise each year in line with inflation.

Accordingly, these are the fees that will be charged by the University for UK undergraduate students in the 2026/27 academic year subject to parliamentary approval taking place in early 2026.

UK Government information on tuition fees for UK undergraduate students in the 2027/2028 academic year

The changes below will apply from 1 August 2027. The government intends to lay regulations implementing these changes in early 2026 and will be subject to Parliamentary procedure. Further information can be found at GOV.UK's tuition fee changes webpage.

For the 2027/28 academic year, it is anticipated that the maximum annual tuition fee applicable to UK undergraduate students for approved providers will increase to:

Subsequent tuition fee rises for UK undergraduate students

Depending on the duration of your study, your tuition fees for subsequent academic years beyond the 2027/28 academic year may therefore be subject to further inflationary increases by the UK government in due course. This means that the fee set out above is likely to be increased again for the 2028/29 academic year.

Any annual increase in tuition fees as provided for above will be notified to students directly in writing at the earliest opportunity in advance of the academic year to which the rise may apply.
