Discovering north London: My Middlesex University journey

When I decided to pursue my master’s degree at Middlesex University in north London, I had no idea how quickly the area would feel like home. From lively local streets to peaceful green spaces, north London offers the perfect student lifestyle. I’ve found a great balance between academic life and everyday adventure, making studying in London a truly rewarding experience.

As a Middlesex University student, I’ve learned so much from the people and experiences here. You can celebrate Diwali in one street and then enjoy a traditional English afternoon tea the next. This mix of cultures has expanded my horizons and made me feel part of a truly global community. It’s not just about the free museums, food and music, it’s about feeling inspired by the people around me.

Discovering my home away from home 

One of the most memorable moments of my north London journey happened early on. Feeling a bit homesick, I decided to wander through Hampstead Heath. I found a quiet bench overlooking the city skyline, and in that moment, I felt a sense of calm and belonging that I hadn’t felt in a while.
