BA Music Business and Arts Management student Iva Angelicheva organises music festival featuring best of Bulgarian pop and folk music
Middlesex University BA Music Business and Arts Management student Iva Angelicheva has organised a brand new music festival, which will take place on 3 and 4 March in the Clapham Grand, London.
The Wild Rose BG Music Festival aims to promote Bulgarian music and culture to people in the UK. It will feature Bulgarian pop stars Mihaela Fileva, Lubo Kirov, Maria Ilieva and folk icon Dessy Dobreva.
Visitors to the festival will also have the chance to experience authentic Bulgarian food and dancing at a reception event before the concerts.
Iva organised the festival through her company White Rose HQP as part of her coursework. Before beginning her studies at Middlesex she enjoyed many successes as a singer in Bulgaria, including competing in the final of X Factor Bulgaria with her band Lollipop.
Speaking about the Wild RoseFestival, Iva says she is confident audiences will fall in love with Bulgarian culture.
“I want the festival to offer its audience the chance to dive into the Bulgarian spirit and culture,” she says.
“The strong line-up and the presentation of high-quality traditional food promise an unforgettable music and cultural experience.”
The idea for the festival came when Iva realised there has never been a Bulgarian music festival in London, despite one-off concerts selling very well.
