Development of Intelligent Environments research group
Our Research Group creates innovation related to Intelligent Environments, these are, systems consisting of a network of sensors and actuators deployed in physical spaces to the benefit of some sector of society. Examples of a large scale such system is a Smart City, medium scale a Smart Campus, and smaller scale systems could be Smart Homes, Smart Classrooms, Smart Offices. A more personalized system could also include wearable technology, including sensing and actuation devices a person carries. Possible applications are to support health, general well-being, education, and other situations where citizens can benefit from context-aware technology.
