You’ll get your own room with an en-suite bathroom, and share the kitchen with your flatmates. Platt Hall is on the same site as Writtle House with a big shared area for studying, TV lounge, pool table and outdoor space. You’ll be twenty minutes’ walk from our campus and a short walk to StoneX Stadium, home of Saracens Rugby Club - so it’s a good choice if you’re studying sport and exercise science.

Within a 20-minute walk from the Hendon campus, Platt Hall is in easy reach of all local amenities and is close to shops and a nearby park. Brent Cross Shopping Centre, one of the largest malls in the UK, is also within easy reach of Platt Hall.

Buses for Brent Cross Shopping Centre and central London are a short walk away. Colindale Underground station (Northern Line) is a five-minute walk. The Northern line connects you to everything central London has to offer.

We guarantee a place in halls for all full-time UK, EU and international undergraduate and postgraduate students joining us for their first year of study in 2020.This guarantee is for UK students who confirm their offer and apply for accommodation before 30 June 2020, and EU/international students who confirm their offer and apply for accommodation before 12 August 2020.
Places in Middlesex's own halls are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. The university also works with a number of private providers to ensure there are places available once our own halls are fully occupied.
Our halls are all managed by Optivo, a housing association that specialises in student accommodation. We're committed to providing a friendly, safe, student-focused environment – and we've signed up to national codes of standards for accommodation to ensure this. For Platt Hall, Optivo has signed up to the ANUK code.
