Platt Hall

Share a flat with six other students in one of our largest halls

You’ll get your own room with an en-suite bathroom, and share the kitchen with your flatmates. Platt Hall is on the same site as Writtle House with a big shared area for studying, TV lounge, pool table and outdoor space. You’ll be twenty minutes’ walk from our campus and a short walk to Allianz Park - so it’s a good choice if you’re studying sport and exercise science.

How to apply for halls

Guaranteed place for first year students

We guarantee a place in halls for all full-time UK, EU and international undergraduate and postgraduate students joining us for their first year of study in 2019.This guarantee is for UK students who confirm their offer and apply for accommodation before 30 June 2019, and EU/international students who confirm their offer and apply for accommodation before 12 August 2019.

Places in Middlesex's own halls are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. The university also works with a number of private providers to ensure there are places available once our own halls are fully occupied.

Maintaining high standards

Our halls are all managed by Optivo, a housing association that specialises in student accommodation. We're committed to providing a friendly, safe, student-focused environment – and we've signed up to national codes of standards for accommodation to ensure this. For Platt Hall, Optivo has signed up to the ANUK code.

The Study4Success Award

Each year, Optivo sponsor an award for students who have made a difference to society. It helps students achieve their goals by providing more than £5,000 towards the cost of accommodation. For more information on this award, visit our Study4Success page.
