Carol Osbourne

Partner and Global Department Leader (Corporate and Finance), BCLP

Carol is a highly experienced corporate lawyer with more than thirty years of experience advising clients on complex legal and commercial matters central to business growth and international expansion. Her expertise includes high-value commercial agreements, joint ventures, strategic alliances and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Dual-qualified in the UK and United States, she brings a strong international perspective and extensive experience supporting organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.

She is a senior leader at BCLP, where she specialises in corporate and finance transactions and oversees a global team of lawyers. She has previously held senior leadership roles, including Global Leader of the Technology, Commercial and Government Affairs practice group and Co-Head of M&A and Corporate Finance for EMEA.

Her sector expertise spans across retail and consumer industries, advising manufacturers, retailers and private equity investors, with experience in luxury retail, food and beverage, beauty and personal care, and apparel and accessories.

Jeremy Chapman

Founder, Integrity Centre and Honestley Ltd

Jeremy is an award-winning wealth manager, author and co-founder of The Integrity Centre, with nearly four decades of experience in financial services. His work is grounded in integrity as a practical discipline that extends beyond compliance and conformity, focusing on how values shape decision-making in business, society and personal conduct.

He completed his Doctor of Professional Studies by Public Works at Middlesex University in March 2024. His research explored his work in financial services, social enterprise and values education, asking what integrity means in practice and how it is applied. From this emerged the Integrity Wealth Model, which challenges the pursuit of “more” in favour of alignment, purpose and responsibility.

Jeremy has since lectured at universities and written on professional ethics and identity. He is the author of True North: The Compass Inside, a book for young people navigating values and peer pressure, with further work in development.

Sharmla is a globally recognised leader in the future of work and business transformation, with more than two decades of experience advising CEOs, boards and policymakers across over 80 countries. Her work focuses on aligning human capability with innovation, economic growth and social impact, and she is known for helping organisations build future-ready talent, close skills gaps and develop inclusive, accountable cultures.

She is the 2025 AWCA Woman of Substance, recognising her influence in business and her commitment to expanding opportunities for women across Africa and globally. She previously founded Duke CE’s South Africa office in 2007, growing it into the continent’s leading provider of custom executive education before becoming CEO of Duke Corporate Education.

She brings expertise in leadership development, talent strategy and culture change across sectors, including financial services, healthcare, energy, mining and manufacturing, and has led initiatives to advance skills development and gender equity in leadership.

Sindi Mabaso-Koyana

Chairperson, AWCA Investment Holdings and Managing Partner, AIH Capital

Sindi is a South African business leader, chartered accountant and advocate for women’s leadership in finance and governance. She is the founder of the African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA) organisation, an initiative that has transformed the accounting profession in South Africa.

She has held senior leadership roles across the private and public sectors, with a career spanning auditing, financial management and corporate governance. She has also served on the boards of some of South Africa’s most influential institutions, consistently championing ethical governance, social equity and the advancement of women in business.

Through AWCA, Sindi has mentored numerous young professionals and built a network that supports aspiring accountants and future business leaders. She also led the formation of AWCA Investment Holdings and the private equity arm AIH Capital, where she is Managing Partner. She has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Middlesex University and named a Visionary Finance Leader by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Dr K.K. Ramachandran

Vice Principal, Dr. GRD College of Science and Director and Professor, GRD Institute of Management, School of Commerce & International Business

K.K. Ramachandran is an educator and academic leader specialising in commerce, management and international business, with a strong focus on curriculum innovation, employability and experiential learning. He holds a double PhD in Marketing and Management, and is a Fulbright Fellow, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK) and the Royal Society of Arts (UK).

He has held academic roles internationally, including at the University of Southampton and contributes to academic governance through advisory, examination and curriculum leadership roles across institutions and boards. His work spans teaching, research and academic leadership, supporting the advancement of applied and practice-oriented learning in business education.

His academic output includes over 100 research publications, multiple books and book chapters, and several patents, alongside extensive supervision of scholars across commerce and management. His work in pedagogy includes advanced training with institutions such as Harvard Business Publishing, with a focus on innovative and applied learning in higher education.
