Research activities

Dr Park’s research investigates digital marketing analytics, consumer and visitor behaviour, and the use of AI and machine learning in marketing contexts. His work focuses on understanding how individuals and crowds behave in complex environments, particularly through the analysis of digital trace data, visitor pathways, engagement duration, and crowding effects.

He is currently developing a portfolio of studies targeting ABS-ranked journals, including research on AI-driven creativity, cross-level crowding dynamics, and predictive modelling of visitor movements using sequence analysis and deep learning techniques such as LSTM. His research combines advanced quantitative modelling with behavioural theory to generate theoretical contributions and practical insights for marketing strategy.

Dr Park has published in international peer-reviewed journals and serves as an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Trade Fairs and Exhibition Studies. His research has received competitive funding and early-career academic awards, and he is actively involved in international and interdisciplinary research collaborations.
