Biography

Dr Kamran Ali is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at Middlesex University, London. He holds a PhD in disaster communication architecture and specialises in digital twin systems, IoT, wireless networks, cloud and edge computing, and cybersecurity. His research focuses on developing secure, reliable communication systems for disaster response, smart cities, and environmental monitoring. He has led and co-led several international research projects, including initiatives on climate change, gender equality in higher education, and advanced environmental sensing technologies. Dr Ali is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and actively contributes to the academic community as a Technical Program Committee member and reviewer for IEEE conferences and journals. He supervises PhD and MSc students and is committed to inclusive teaching, curriculum innovation, and mentoring early-career researchers while driving impactful, interdisciplinary research with global reach.
