Biography

My research interests revolve around wellbeing, mentalhealth, and social psychology. My work spans several areas, particularly state  authenticity, music therapy, social power, and motivational psychology. I am  especially interested in the precursors and outcomes of state authenticity and  the cognitive mechanisms through which social power influences individuals’  feelings, perceptions, and actions.

I have expanded into music therapy and appliedinterventions, developing evidence-based projects that support wellbeing and  resilience in displaced families. One of these projects, “Music 4 Displaced  Dyads: East & West,” was nominated by Middlesex University for the Global  Impact Award at the 2025 University Alliance (UK) Annual Awards.
