CNELM has been a collaborative partner with Middlesex University (MU) since 2003.
We teach a BSc Hons in Nutritional Science and an MSc and Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Personalised Nutrition that are both validated by MU for distance learning.
Students study with us from around the world. Applicants without a science background can take our online bioscience entry course to gain entry to the BSc and an extended bioscience entry to the MSc or PGDip if their prior degree did not cover the biosciences.
The BSc programme has a broad curriculum including public health nutrition, food science, personalised nutrition and health culture as students have the opportunity to gain online industry experience through placement. The MSc and PGDip focuses on personalised nutrition, and has an optional module on Personalised Sports Nutrition.
Many applicants are looking for a career change to become a nutritional therapist. The BSc, MSc and PGDip can be combined with the Personalised Nutrition Practice Diploma (PNPD) which is separately Endorsed by Qualifi as being assessed up to level 6. The MU validated programmes provide academic clinically applied content and the PNPD enables students to gain clinical, coaching and business skills.
Many graduates of the combined programmes establish portfolio careers in industry, practice and education. CNELM actively supports graduates of the validated programmes to publish their research findings. Some graduates continue their education at Masters or Doctorate level.
These validated programmes were developed and are delivered and assessed by the Centre for Nutrition Education & Lifestyle Management, awarded by and quality assured by Middlesex University.
