Institute of Psychosynthesis
These validated courses were developed and are delivered and assessed by The Institute of Psychosynthesis, awarded by and quality assured by Middlesex University.
The Institute of Psychosynthesis was founded in 1973 to develop the principles and practice of Psychosynthesis in the UK.
Psychosynthesis has been described as a psychology of the Self. It recognises that human experience includes matters of soul and spirit. These exist alongside physical and emotional experiences, thoughts, and mental processes.
In 1975, the Institute created Europe’s first professional psychosynthesis training programme. Since then, it has developed in-depth programmes in psychosynthesis counselling, psychotherapy, and coaching. It has also applied psychosynthesis to other fields of service. The Institute has an active Research and Publishing section.
Over the years, the Institute has developed a method of facilitated learning. This method combines the excitement and stimulation of direct experience with the focus, depth, and direction gained from a thorough understanding of ideas.
The training environment supports professional development. Crucially, it also supports the development of the individual.
