Clearing Accommodation Bursary
What is the award?
The Clearing Accommodation Bursary is an award for new UK undergraduate students applying through 2026 Clearing who wish to stay in Middlesex University London student accommodation.
The award is a £600 reduction of rent for the 2026-27 academic year only. This award will be automatically processed for enrolled students, with £400 to be deducted from the first semester’s instalment and £200 from the second semester’s instalment.
Eligibility
- You applied as a new student through 2026 Clearing to Middlesex University to study an undergraduate degree
- You are eligible to pay UK / ‘home’ tuition fees. Those liable for overseas fees are not eligible for this bursary
- You apply for accommodation in Middlesex University halls of residence by 28 August 2026
- You enrol on your programme of study by 25 September 2026
Terms and conditions
- Those liable for overseas fees are not eligible for this bursary
- The Clearing Accommodation Bursary will only be in place for the 2026-27 academic year
- This award is only available for new undergraduate students applying through 2026 Clearing
- You must accept your accommodation offer by 25 September 2026
- The award is not transferrable to subsequent years if you defer your university place, nor if you change programme
- There is no need to apply for the award, as it will be processed automatically so that it is deducted from the first and second semester instalments. Students who think this has been missed are advised to speak to the Student Fees and Finance Team via Unihelp
- The bursary is only available to new entry students (foundation or year 1) and is not awarded in subsequent academic years
- No cash or other alternatives will be made beyond the tuition fee reduction
- The University reserves the right to limit the number of discounted accommodation places and withdraw the offer at any time.
Resolution of disputes
Acceptance of the Clearing Accommodation Bursary constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. In cases not covered by the above terms and conditions, or where a student claims exceptional circumstances, or disputes a decision not to provide a student support pack, final appeals on decisions regarding eligibility must be made to accomm@mdx.ac.uk.
The Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing or their nominee will review the case and their decision will be final.
