Development of Intelligent Environments research group

Our Research Group develops innovations related to Intelligent Environments. These systems use networks of sensors and actuators within physical spaces to benefit different sectors of society.

Intelligent Environments can operate at different scales. Examples include:

  • Smart Cities at a large scale
  • Smart Campuses at a medium scale
  • Smart Homes, Smart Classrooms, and Smart Offices at a smaller scale
  • personalised systems that include wearable sensing and actuation devices.

Possible applications include health, general well-being, education, and other areas where context-aware technology can benefit citizens.
