Here's a selection of our student clubs and societies:
We have religious student societies who hold regular meetings too. They include the Christian Union Society, several Islamic societies and the Jewish Society.
These groups bring together students with similar experiences to network and campaign for change. They are for Women students, Disabled students, Black students (of African, Arab, Asian and Caribbean heritage) and LGBT+ students (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender).
Join a community of students who have the same circumstances as you. There are networks for commuting students, student parents and carers, international students and postgraduate students. Together you'll support each other to have the best possible student experience.
I’m really involved in the criminology and sociology society. They hold events like workshops and guest lectures. Plus I get to apply what I've learned in my course to real life cases.
If you can't find the activity you're looking for then set it up for yourself! We're always looking for new clubs, societies and events on campus. And we'll give you all the support you need to get started.
I started the Visual Arts Society to find like-minded people and step outside of my comfort zone. I got lots of help from the Students’ Union including to organise my first event and to successfully apply for funding. That was how I found my career path as an entrepreneur.
