Includes anytime use of gym during opening hours plus full access to leisure classes, plus free pitch and court booking at off peak times. Pay annually or monthly by Direct Debit.
Pay a one off registration fee and pay a session fee each time you use the gym or attend a leisure class. Please note this can work out more expensive for regular users.
If you want to play for a university sports team, and don't intend to use any of the fitness facilities then this is the membership for you. Pay just £50 for the academic year, which includes access to competitive sports training and competition only. Students wishing to use fitness facilities or attend fitness classes must purchase one of the fitness memberships above. Competitive sports can be joined at any time during the academic year.

You can book a leisure class in one of three simple ways. By using the Fitness Pod app on your smart phone, or by booking in via our electronic kiosk located outside the gym, or by visiting the Fitness Pod reception.

We're offering a great offer for personal training where you can receive your first session for just £20, then £40 per one hour session going forward or you can schedule a block of sessions to save money. Book 5 sessions at £175, or 10 sessions for £350.

A qualified instructor will undertake your individual health check and provide you with feedback on your current level of fitness. The consultation covers individual medical and exercise history, fitness goals, lifestyle factors and exercise preferences as well as a variety of tests including blood pressure, body fat, cholesterol, BMI, waist to hip ratio, BMR & daily calorie needs. Results are discussed and recommendations made.

Each new member taking out an annual membership at The Fitness Pod, receives a personalised programme to help them make the most of their membership, with a programme tailored to your requirements. Programmes can be developed to enable you to achieve weight loss, increase strength, help rehabilitation, support specific sport performance and more.
Your first programme is free when you join as a member. Each programme after that is £10.These sessions are available by appointment only so contact thefitnesspod@mdx.ac.uk or 020 8411 6343 to book your appointment.
The Sport & Recreation Service offer a treatment clinic with sessions delivered by qualified practitioners. A wide range of treatments are available and can address ‘aches and pains’ muscoskeletal problems, injuries etc. Referrals to your G.P. or other specialist can also be provided. Treatment interventions include: Joint mobilisation, postural corrective techniques, kinsio taping, soft tissue manipulation / release and massage.

About Reka: Reka originally qualified as a Medical Massage Therapist, in 2009. She has been working with Circle care, a professional physiotherapy team since 2018. She has also recently qualified as a Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation Therapist, from Middlesex University 2022.
Reiki is a type of energy healing which helps the flow of energy and can help remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture. Reiki improves the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness. Reiki can help to heal physical, emotional and mental problems, working on all levels to help our wellbeing.
Reiki is a complementary health approach in which practitioners place their hands just above the physical body in order to channel reiki energy. Reiki can work to heal a variety of issues from emotional pain and trauma, to stress, and physical problems and pain. Toni is a Usui Reiki Master practitioner and teacher and is registered with the UK Reiki federation.
