Memberships for Local Community 2022/23

Join this Fitness Pod at Middlesex University with a monthly direct debit of just £19.50 per month. Price includes full access to the Fitness Pod gym, access to our exciting leisure class programme plus reduced rates on our outdoor 3g pitch and multi activity courts.

Full Fitness

Includes anytime use of gym during opening hours plus full access to leisure classes, plus free pitch and court booking at off peak times. Pay annually or monthly by Direct Debit.

Fitness Pay & Play

Pay a one off registration fee and pay a session fee each time you use the gym or attend a leisure class. Please note this can work out more expensive for regular users.

Competitive Sports

If you want to play for a university sports team, and don't intend to use any of the fitness facilities then this is the membership for you. Pay just £50 for the academic year, which includes access to competitive sports training and competition only. Students wishing to use fitness facilities or attend fitness classes must purchase one of the fitness memberships above. Competitive sports can be joined at any time during the academic year.

Access for people with disabilities

We are committed to enabling access to our facilities and to accommodate the needs of disabled users. We will try to accommodate your needs wherever possible.

Classes and Activities

We have a variety of leisure classes on offer, delivered by qualified instructors and they are a great way to keep fit and have fun. Classes are open to members and non-members. All leisure classes advertised are included in our Full Fitness memberships.

Booking a Class

You can book a leisure class in one of three simple ways. By using the Fitness Pod app on your smart phone, or by booking in via our electronic kiosk located outside the gym, or by visiting the Fitness Pod reception.

Personal training

Achieve your goals in half the time with our experienced personal trainers. You will receive expert guidance on a one-to-one basis, with plenty of encouragement to motivate you and maximise the benefits from your workout. Whether you want to lose weight, shape and tone or build muscle, whatever your goal, we can help you achieve it.

Health check

A qualified instructor will undertake your individual health check and provide you with feedback on your current level of fitness. The consultation covers individual medical and exercise history, fitness goals, lifestyle factors and exercise preferences as well as a variety of tests including blood pressure, body fat, cholesterol, BMI, waist to hip ratio, BMR & daily calorie needs. Results are discussed and recommendations made.

We offer a 1 hour health check for just £25. Contact thefitnesspod@mdx.ac.uk or 020 8411 6343 to book your appointment.

Personalised programmes

Each new member taking out an annual membership at The Fitness Pod, receives a personalised programme to help them make the most of their membership, with a programme tailored to your requirements. Programmes can be developed to enable you to achieve weight loss, increase strength, help rehabilitation, support specific sport performance and more.

Your first programme is free when you join as a member. Each programme after that is £10.These sessions are available by appointment only so contact thefitnesspod@mdx.ac.uk or 020 8411 6343 to book your appointment.

Sports Injury Clinic

Our student placement clinic can help you back to good health. All sessions will be overseen by qualified practitioners who all have national or international experience in practice and are professionally qualified (Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, Chartered Physiotherapist or Sport Masseur registered with the Sport Massage Association). We can help you with sports injuries, muscle weakness, and back or joint pain.

Treatments available

  • Sport and relaxation massage
  • Electrotherapy for pain and inflammation
  • Taping and strapping
  • Rehabilitation exercise programme
  • Referral (including letter) if necessary to a GP or sport medicine doctor.

Children's sport activities

Children's Activity Camps

Our fun filled camps encourage children to participate in a range of sports and arts and crafts activities. All activities are facilitated by qualified, experienced instructors and coaches. We run camps during school holiday breaks over Easter, Whistun, Summer and Half term.

Times: 9.00am - 4.30pm. 
Early drop off and late pick up are available. Early drop off (8.30am) and late pick up (5.00pm) can be arranged if requested.

Prices: £25 per child per day or £110 for a 5 day week

Our kids activity camps are being run at Middlesex University, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4BT.

Children's Sports Birthday parties

Book our impressive 3G pitches and Multi Activity Courts for your child’s multi activity sports birthday party. Parties cater for children from 5 - 15 years and start from just £140 for up to 10 children (additional spaces can be booked at £10 per child, up to 25 children). You can expect:

  • Multi sport and party games
  • All games equipment and toys
  • Use of 3G pitch or Multi Activity Courts
  • A children’s party host to lead games
  • Themed parties (Football, Tennis & Multi sports)
