We try to be clear about expected costs at uni to help you budget during your time here. Plus we can advise you on how to make savings, get value for money and even make some extra cash while you study.

What uni costs

Here are some estimated costs to keep in mind as you plan your budget.

  • Tuition fees - these depend on your course, country or nationality and residence so check your course page
  • Accommodation, bills and insurance - £550 to £800 each month
  • Food and household - £80 each month
  • Leisure, sports and entertainment - £95 each month
  • Local transport - £50 to £100 each month
  • One-off costs - things like flights and treats for yourself.

Borrow a laptop for 24 hours. Take it on and off campus and even keep it over the weekend.
