Introduction: I'm Bastien, a senior lecturer at Middlesex. I teach Economics in Business and Management.

What excites you?

What excites me, I think, is having access to, diversity of students. We want to bring them, to fulfill the most of their potential.

I think that's what, you know, makes us wake up in the morning and get to go to work. our motto is knowledge into action. So we have a very applied sort of research and we want to transmit that towards students.

What is the best moment?

It will have to be the graduation ceremony. I'm impressed by the dedication of my students - that's definitely the best moment every year.

Internships: We invlove students in the research that we do. Internships, for instance, we'll start from foundational notions in first-year and slowly, adding more advanced features over the years to finish with really specialty and elective courses in year three. Students will be able to really design their individual own path over the program.

Course Progression: I got an idea how to use this Business Management course in my own life, teachers help us and make it easy, it's not just a degree but something we’re learning as an experience.

Learning as Experience: So one thing is authentic assessment, with a move away from exams, and have assessment that will mimic real life situations.

we also have a lot of opportunities to network outside of the university.

We’ve managed to create small groups of motivated students that, you know, happy to interact and learn and grow.

Job Opportunities: We can get guidance towards the different jobs opportunities available after our studies, they guide us according to our course and it's very supportive.

we have an Employability Hub that help them with writing their CV and cover letters.

Get those skills of, how to get out in the world and find opportunities, basically, create opportunities.
