Flexible work through Unitemps

Our Unitemps service connects Middlesex students with paid part-time work. As part of the Careers and Futures service, Unitemps works with teams across the University and external employers to offer opportunities that fit around your studies while helping you gain practical experience.

Since launching in 2017, Unitemps has supported thousands of Middlesex students through flexible work opportunities during their degree.

Since 2017, Unitemps has provided:

Work on campus

Students may take on a variety of roles across the University, including:

  • Student and course ambassadors: welcoming prospective students on campus, creating content and sharing their experiences of studying at Middlesex
  • Social media content creation: curating and filming content on and off campus to promote the University across various channels
  • Event support roles: helping to support University events such as open days, careers fairs, graduation ceremonies and other campus activities
  • University service support roles: working with teams across the University, including admissions, student services and outreach programmes
  • Research or project support: helping lecturers or university departments with research projects or short-term initiatives
  • Internships: via the dedicated MDX Internship Scheme, allowing you to undertake discipline-specific work experience on-campus.

These opportunities allow you to gain real workplace experience while contributing to the university community. Unitemps can also help you secure paid internships related to your degree, alongside flexible on-campus roles that fit around your studies.
