BA Dance Performance, 2011

Why did you choose to study at Middlesex University?

For me, the diversity of dance techniques on offer was what made the course special.

Why did you enjoy most about your course?

Discovering new ways of moving was my personal highlight as it helped me develop my own identity. Being a student at Middlesex taught me that hard graft really does pay off and it introduced me to pathways in dance that I hadn't considered.

What were the staff on the course like?

The staff share their abundant knowledge with passion and encouragement. They are all clearly devoted to their craft.

How has your career developed since you graduated?

Since graduating I have performed nationally in productions including EARTHFALL's award winning At Swim Two Boys, interactive dance show Underfoot by aboutNOwish and many dance theatre works with Julia Thorneycroft Dance.

I have led extensive outreach projects and workshops for Matthew Bourne's New Adventures/Re:Bourne and EARTHFALL and freelance as a Community Dance Artist throughout.

Having always been passionate about engaging boys with dance I now run LOTF legacy project, Airborne, an all-boys youth dance company supported by Theatre Royal Plymouth.
