Current Teaching

Sherine works on various modules across Social Work Programmes, however her main module consists of the Practice Placement module where she is an Placement Tutor for students undertaking their 70 day and/ or 100 day practice field placements. Within this role Sherine delivers tutorial sessions and placement support sessions to students and offers them support advice and guidance as an Academic Advisor. 

Additionally, Sherine has delivered teaching on the Readiness for Direct Social Work Practice, Community Project, Social WorkTheories, Intervention and Practice, Preparation for Professional Practice: Communication and lifelong learning skills modules in lectures and seminars. 

Lastly, Sherine has also delivered training workshops to Practice Educators (PE) and Socail Workers throughout her career, and most reently at North London Partnership PE and ASYE assessor conference in May 2025.


Biography

Sherine joined Middlesex University in October 2022, as anAssociate Lecturer and within this role has acted as personal tutor andacademic advisor to BA, MA and PG Dip students undertaking their Social Work programme. Sherine is a qualified Social Worker and obtained her BA Hon’s in SocialWork in 2013, Sherine is a 2022 graduate of Middlesex’s Advanced Social WorkPractice Education (Stage 1 and 2), has been a Practice Educator and hasachieved her PG Cert in Higher Education FHEA in 2024. Currently Sherine is undertakingher Masters– MA in Advanced Professional Practice at Middlesex (Social Work Education).

Sherine has extensive experience of working withChildren and Young People within a variety of settings which include: Safeguarding and Support Team for Children, Fostering Service, working within a YouthOffending Team, Residential Children’s Home, Education providers as well as workingwith Unaccompanied Minors within a Looked After Children’s Team. 

Alongside her current role Sherine also works ocaasionally as an Independent Social Worker and sits on adoption panels for Adoption London North.
