Patrick is Research Fellow - Social and Sustainable Business at the Centre for Enterprise and Economic Development Research (CEEDR), Middlesex University, and Research Fellow at the Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity (CUSP) at the University of Surrey.
Patrick received his PhD from the University of Surrey where he conducted research at the Centre for Environment & Sustainability together with IKEA UK & Ireland, exploring the potential of multinational corporations to support people in their aim to live more sustainable lifestyles.
During his PhD he was selected one of 100 global talents to participate at the first UNLEASH Lab 2017 to work on innovative solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prior to his academic career he worked a short while at the London Sustainable Development Commission/Greater London Authority.
He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from Forum for the Future and Middlesex University and received a scholarship for his BA in International Management from the Cologne Business School, Germany and the Universidad Viña del Mar, Chile.

Patrick provides teaching across the university. He contributes to undergraduate courses (e.g. Management in a Globalised Context, Fashion Culture and Industry) as well as postgraduate (e.g. Environmental Law and Governance) and MBA courses (e.g. Cross-Cultural Management and ethics).
Moreover, he provides teaching at a number of Brazilian research institutions including the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Recife, the Federal University of Paraiba/Campina Grande (UFPB) as well as the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC).
