Following my PhD and postdoctoral appointments I joined GlaxosmithKline as a Senior Scientist within Drug Discovery. Over 20 years I held various positions within Drug Discovery that include a post as Team Leader at Principal Scientist level. During my tenure at GSK I received a number of science awards and in 2008 was awarded an exceptional science award for my work in area of Neuroscience.
In 2010 I joined Middlesex University to take on a post as Reader in Bioanalytical Science. The position involves teaching, supervision, research and consultancy work. The research areas that I am involved in are development of platform for metabolomics, application of analytical techniques like mass spectrometry for measurement of molecules in biological matrices and development/improvement of analytical instruments in collaboration with instrument manufacturers.
