University of Pécs (Hungary)

Since its foundation in 1970, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Pécs has become a significant factor in Hungarian business education. The Faculty has been able to develop its international reputation in education and research and has also gradually built up an efficiently operating centre of excellence open to innovation.

Their model is a distinctive combination of research with the highest quality contributions to Hungarian and international scientific results, theoretical and methodological foundations of high standards and business focused education programs sensitively responding to the demands of the labour market.

They provide an education of true quality, which ensures that their graduates are well equipped to meet the challenges of a highly professional and specialised international labour market. Keeping the “act locally” principle in focus, they have designed their programs to respond to fundamental social and regional needs. They explicitly assess market perspectives, consciously expand their existing corporate relations as well as integrating into the curriculum the specific aspects of the market that their graduates will eventually delve into.

They have established a wide network of cooperation with companies, institutions, professional and civil organisations and strongly believe that such collaboration ensures competitive advantage for all participants and allows for shaping their institution, the economy of the city, the region and the country together.
