During the course, you'll study two compulsory modules designed to advance your skills and knowledge in topics fundamental to managerial decision making.
The Entrepreneurship and Small Business module provides an excellent foundation for setting up and running your own business. You'll also choose four optional modules in a range of different areas so you can tailor your studies to your interests.
This module presents a broad and integrated view of strategic management in organisations. All contemporary organisations operate in an increasingly dynamic environment. This module aims to develop your critical understanding of organisational change and managing organisational change. You'll explore different theoretical frameworks, concepts, techniques and tools for managing change.
The module aims to provide you with an awareness and understanding of the mechanics, challenges and issues related to the different ways of financing an enterprise. The includes an understanding of key financial statements, the financial planning process, sources of funding and the financial risks and rewards of entrepreneurship.

You'll be taught and supported by an experienced teaching team with a wide range of expertise and professional experience.
Our practice-based approach to learning will enable you to enhance your knowledge and skills as well as adapt to an ever-changing environment. The Business Start-up module, for example, allows you to link real-life issues to business while engaging with entrepreneurs and business experts from the industry.
You'll hone your practical business management skills through workshops, simulations, role-play, case study analysis and problem-solving exercises. Seminars and workshops are a great opportunity to discuss what you have learnt in lectures and through independent study with your peers and tutors.
Most seminar groups have about 30 students.
Work is divided into credits of approximately 10 hours of study time. You will need to complete 120 credits per year, which are broken down into modules of typically 15 to 30 credits.
You will be studying at our north London campus in Hendon.
Your course timetable will balance your study commitments on campus with time for work, life commitments and independent study. We aim to make your timetable available at least 2 weeks before you the start of term. Some weeks are different due to how we schedule classes and arrange on-campus sessions.

Outside of teaching hours, you’ll learn independently through self-study which will involve reading articles and books, working on projects, undertaking research, and preparing for assessments including coursework, and presentations.

Our Sheppard Library is open 24 hours a day during term time. And we offer free 24-hour laptop loans with full desktop software, free printing and Wi-Fi to use on or off campus, even over the weekend.
Your knowledge and understanding is assessed by tests, essays and other written assignments and presentations. You'll also be assessed by practice-based individual and group coursework assignments.
We'll test your understanding and progress with informal and formal tests.
The informal tests usually take place at least once per module, from which you’ll receive feedback from your tutor. The grades from these tests don’t count towards your final marks.
There are formal assessments for each module, usually at the end, which will count towards your module and your final marks.
Assessments are reviewed annually and may be updated based on student feedback or feedback from an external examiner.
